This is a Sun Enterprise 250 (dual 400Mh Processor, 2Gb Ram, 144G Disk) and is the workhorse of the lab. Most lab users keep their data in this machine and do most of their work here. This machine supports with 16 Sunray Terminals.

This is a Dell PowerEdge 6300 with two Xeon-400 processors, 512MB of RAM and 9GB U2W SCSI hard drive that we got as part of an Intel campus-wide grant. It runs Linux 2.2.16-SMP (SuSE 6.4).

This is a IBM RS/6000 (PowerPC) given to us by IBM that is currently working as the lab's web server. We have experimented with some simulation work on it, but unfortunately we have a software availabilty problem since this machine runs AIX and most of our software is for Solaris.
We also have 2 older Pentium PCs where people do lots of different kinds
of work, from email and web "surfing" to GAUSS and RATS programing. The lab is
also equipped with a Hewlett Packard Laserjet 4M+ Printer. The Solaris machines at the lab
are closely connected with ysidro.econ.uiuc.edu (Another Sun Sparc 20) where we have
centralized most software applications.
