| This was probably my favorite afternoon of all. We had spent the earlier part of the day at Djoliba, where Cherif grew up. Later, we took some 'pirogues' to this beautiful secluded little island on the Niger. Walking bare-foot in the sand, taking in the sun, napping in the shade, and then enjoying the serene music of Salif Keita was a soul-refreshing experience. | |
