| Sheep Galore and a rooster to boot. Although we often joked and commented about how disgusting Bamako was; I think that the litter lining the streets and alleys, the farm animals roaming the back alleys, and the many happy folks I encountered there were what enamored me to the place. Although, I found "Centre-ville" to be very tiring, feeling I constantly had to be on alert for con-artists; the outskirts of Bomako were just rip-roaring fun. Having visited numerous large cities in Europe prior to coming to Mali I found them to be stifiling and cold in comparison to the time I spent in Bamako. |
