Carleton in Mali 2000AN FILE(Here we are)We thought up this project the second day we were in Mali. We were all overstimulated from being in this new city surrounded by all these new and disturbing realities. Wouldn’t it be great, we decided, if we could have some sort of document that everyone could contribute to, showing the different ways we saw the experience. I don’t know if this is that document, but I do know that everyone is represented through their favorite three pictures and whatever accompanying text they chose to include. Maybe all these slivers of perspective will add up to something that conveys a little of what we saw in Mali, and how we saw it. Maybe not. This isn’t the Mali 2000 yearbook; it’s not a record of what we did and saw and felt; it’s just a few comments on brief moments that meant something to us while we were there. We hope you enjoy it.
